I’m not sure if Mimi or Colin will be headed to the major leagues. :)

Illinois

23 Jan 2010 In: Life

Sydney and I just came back from Illinois on Tuesday after visiting my Grandma in the hospital.  I was so thankful that so many people helped with Colin while we were gone.  Thank you Hubby, Amy, Grammy and Grandpa, and Brandon and Jamie!

This will forever be a picture that I cherish. If you have ever gotten a chance to meet my Grandma you are one lucky person. She has so much love for people. You can’t get in or out of the door without a kiss and hug and her saying that she loves you more than you do me. I love you more than you do me Grandma!

Playing in the Snow

Back in December went up to Payson, which is an hour and a half away, and played in the snow.

Kayla and Grammy and Grandpa also joined us.

Colin and Kayla had a blast!

We also build a snowman!

Here are some of our action shots!

And the reason it took me so long to post……enjoy the video!

Sydney’s 3 Months

12 Jan 2010 In: Life

Sydney turned 3 months yesterday. One of the big steps for her this month is being able to hold her head up which with that, she is beginning to really enjoy the Bumbo.

My favorite picture!  Each day she smiles more and more and will throw in a noise that is the start of a laugh. She has the biggest smile that just melts our heart every time we see it.  Every week she seems to get better with sleeping through the night. Almost every night she only has one wake up before Colin is up. We are still working on getting her to nap in her crib for longer periods than 20 min. or so. Colin is also starting to interact more with her as he loves it when he can get a smile out of her.

Her are a couple of our favorite pics:

We of course took a ton of photos and had the hardest time picking out the good ones, so we made a video of all of the outtakes. Enjoy:

After her photo shoot:

Please Pray

6 Jan 2010 In: Life

Our family friend, George, was in a horrible quad accident on New Year’s eve and has been in a medically induced coma since then. He has a long road ahead of him and could use your prayers. Please take a moment. Thank you!

Christmas

6 Jan 2010 In: Life

I can’t even begin to pick some of the pictures we took at Christmas time and talk about them since we took so many so you can check them out in the December folder under photos.  To sum it up though….  we had a great Christmas!  It was a ton of fun watching Colin enjoying all of the festivities and also having Sydney observing this year.  Next year will be a totally different story for our little girl.  We hope everyone else enjoyed all of the festivities!

Christmas Cookies

This year Colin and Jayden were a huge help in decorating the sugar cookies. I think it was a contest to see who could put the most sprinkles on to one cookie. :)

2 Rounds with Santa Clause

3 Jan 2010 In: Life

This year we happened to run into Santa at the restaurant we were eating at. He actually sat down at our table and Colin continued eating and chatting away with him.

Sydney was even awake to chat with him.

After having such a great experience with Santa we figured that we didn’t want to spoil it by going to the mall to sit on Santa’s lap.

but then Anna needed a friend to help her sit with Santa and so we said we would go along not expecting to actually take a picture. (not the best outfit choice for Colin)  He still enjoyed sitting on Santa’s lap.  Colin has never been one to be afraid of people in costumes.

Merry Christmas!

Gingerbread Houses

21 Dec 2009 In: Colin, Friends, Sydney

Tonight we had some friends over to make some gingerbread houses. It was a lot of our first attempts without a kit. I would have to say that it was much better without a kit. Everyone was extremely creative and the kids enjoyed helping and eating all the toppings.

Dad and Colin were the main master minds behind our masterpiece.

Here is how they all turned out!

and this little gal enjoyed munching on graham crackers.

and this little gal slept through the making process.

Colin’s masterpiece!
